Nature | Biomimicry

 Our next project being based on Nature and producing a poster has made me want to focus on the subject of Biomimicry. Biomimicry is taking ideas and inspiration from nature and translating them into human engineering. They’re are many examples of how we have managed to use the environment around us and make exceptional things, such as; the Kingfisher bird inspired the aerodynamics of the famous Japanese Bullet Train, dolphins helped with research into sending messages underwater, mosquitoes have very thin ‘needle-like’ mouth helped with creating ‘nicer needles’ The reason I have chosen Biomimicry as my main focus is because I am interested in how much we are influenced by the environment, without even realising it. I also think this subject has a lot of amazing visual language that can help make an appealing and constructive final poster.
